JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Function

The Data Visualization and Analytics Specialist will function as a member of the broader Data Visualization and Analytics Team, and would be assigned a variety of data processing, visualization and analytics tasks to meet the specifications of the company’s diverse clientele and project designs. For this specific hire, we are looking for someone with expertise in Displayr. Working in this platform would likely occupy a significant portion of the team member’s time.

Displayr is a very powerful platform, and we continue to expand our footprint within it. We often go beyond the GUIs and surface-level features – building custom dashboards, automated reporting solutions, and analytics tools for our clients. We are looking for someone who has previous experience working within the Displayr platform, and would consider themselves an “expert”. The ideal candidate would be able to provide value within the platform shortly after being hired.

As an alternative to Displayr experience, a candidate who has similar market research experience (e,g, building dashboards/reports in other platforms) and is very proficient in Q Research Software and/or R programming may still be considered.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create crosstabs, charts, dashboards, and other custom deliverables to meet specific client objectives and needs
  • Apply, and be able to speak to, survey design/analytic techniques such as MaxDiff, choice modeling, TURF analysis, segmentation, key driver analysis, etc.
  • Advise clients on how to best display and utilize their data
  • Identify process improvements and training opportunities to continue improving client service and deliverable quality
  • Work with our programming and project management teams to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

Core skills and qualifications include:

  • At least 2 years of relevant market research experience or a Master’s Degree in Market Research, Statistics, Decision Science, Quantitative Social Science, or related field
  • Working expertise of MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience designing and building client-facing dashboards/reports (ideally in Displayr, Power BI, Tableau, or Forsta Visualizations)
  • Excellent skillset in communication, math, proofreading, and attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritize and juggle concurrent projects/tasks to meet deadlines
  • Expertise/experience in the Displayr platform, including:
    • Creating dashboards, automated reports, and analytics for client consumption
    • Designing dashboards/reports in ways that optimize visual appearance, dynamic functionality, and usability
    • Proficiency in writing R within the platform to expand upon the features and options available through GUIs
    • Experience integrating common R libraries, packages, and functions from the broader R ecosystem to display data within the platform

The ideal candidate may also have:

  • Expertise in Q Research software
  • Experience using SPSS Statistics
  • Experience coding in R, JavaScript, VBA, Python or CSS
  • Working expertise in analytics techniques that are specific to MR/survey data
  • Experience interfacing with artificial intelligence applications in a way that augments productivity and improves output quality
  • Experience integrating multiple data types or sources into cohesive deliverables (e.g. survey data with transactional/sales data)

Research Results may request references and/or examples of work to substantiate experience and expertise.
